Fave Chars: KIRA!!! Dax and Bashir. Kira may seem to whiny but they
really need to demonstrate how forceful she is, and faced with that kind
of decision (particularly at the end with the surrender) I would be a little
whiny myself in a way...she plays a character who is under extreme stress and
who doesnt always handle it in the best way, but she never actually breaks
even when faced with destruction, but she comes close and that I like.
Dax is a good concept and was well played, she is matter of fact without being
emotionless...notice that she kept a cool head during the crisis but didnt
go all Spock on us. The Women truly have arrived on Star Trek...they are
a far cry from banging heads with pots.
Bashir: another good concept, the guy is young and impetuous and relatvely
angst free--I dont know why but he came off well in my estimation.
Put this next to Farpoint and its like putting Star Wars next to
Battlestar Galactica, this time they leave plenty of room for development.
The Bajorans continue to be intriguing and I hope the Kai is a semi-regular.
Dax and Odo each present interesting enigmas. The station needs serious help
and has plenty of options there. Not to mention the Wormhole...hell this
could probably run for quite a while even without the wormhole hanging out.
This is what I hoped for and more...lets just hope for quality writing,
something which has been absent on TNG. I do hope they keep the crossovers
to a minnimum Id hate to Soil DS9 by having Riker walking along the Promenade
the image is simply distasteful

A) He's not Wesley.
B) "Where can I go for phaser practice?"
C) He's a decent actor.

In my opinion, that was the worst part. I guess it's just a pet peeve
of mine, but I can't stand being in a dark room (unless I'm trying to
sleep) and I don't like watching people in dark rooms on TV either. I
think Sisco should make lighting top priority, even before repairing the
replicators! :) I hold no hope of this ever happening, though.
