Interplay, who is making the game, has begun distribution. Expect to
see it in stores soon. The IBM PC version is still finishing up in
play-testing.
Disclaimer: While I have done programming work for Interplay, I am
neither an employee nor do I have anything to do with the Star Trek
game.

I have seen many adds for the game in gamming magazines, and also in
a Nintendo Power issue, they had a big 5 or 6 article on it. Should be
out soon.

Anyone know if it is for the 8-bit or 16-bit game?

It is an 8-bit game for the original Nintendo System. Saw an article
on it in Nintendo Power Magazine. Looks pretty good.
Undoubted all Nintendo's employees are addicted to the game.
"I've just reached level 48! Ohhhhh, uuhhhhhh..." :-)
It's for the 8-bit game. Judging by the poor sales of the 16-bit system, we
may never see a 16-bit version. I've seen the 16-bit system on sale for $179.99
(as opposed to $199.99), so apparently most people aren't willing to drop $200
when they've already spent $100 or more for the 8-bit system. By the way,
Nintendo is also going to release a GAMEBOY version soon.
