: I can't remember any, but I think Quark once mentioned that he had been fired
: for violating ferengi rule #112, "Never sleep with your boss's sister" or so...
YES! There was an entire DS9 episode built around a female Ferengi
character who passed herself off as a male in order to participate in the
male-only business dealings (she used proshetic earlobes to cover her own
smaller female lobes). It was basically a Ferengi "Yentyl" kind of
story, where she and Quark are directed by the Nagus to establish
business ties in the Gamma quadrant (it was also, I believe, this episode
that gave us the first mention of The Dominion). Sorry I can't remember
the name of this episode at the moment.

VH> Has anybody ever seen a ferengi woman in one of the DS9/TNG episodes?
Yep. There was an episode last season: "Rules of Acquisition" which
pretty much centered around a Ferengi female, Pel. She, however, was
passing herself off as a male, in order to try to escape the kind of
repression (from our point of view) that Ferengi females suffer.

Most of them are at "home". According to what we've been told, Ferengi
women are kept at home, unclothed, with their only purpose being to
satisfy their mates. Virtual slaves. Harem girls only.

I remember an episode where Quark takes under his wing a female Ferengi who
dressed as a male in order to enter the bussiness world.
I was under the impression that Ferengi females were not allowed to do anything
of significance, such as leave the home world or wear clothes.

That's why she disguised herself as a man.

They're not. That's why the female Ferengi (Pel) dressed as a male.
She was essentially a "renegade", not willing to play along with the
rules of Ferengi society.
I take it you haven't seen the episode in question yet? The name of it
was "Rules of Acquisition", 2nd season of DS9.
