However, when Picard orders the self-destruct, he identifies himself as
"Captain". Then Beverly concurs as "Chief Medical Officer". Then Worf,
"temporarily re-instated" at Tactical, concurs as "Lieutenant-Commander"...
I can buy that he got new auth. codes when he became re-instated on the
Bridge, but he should not have been downgraded!
Did anyone else catch this?
BTW, when Picard is first called to the bridge early in the film, I'm
pretty sure that the voice was Marina Sirtis' (Deanna Troi). Since it's
been established that the person who calls the captain to the Bridge in an
emergency is the commanding officer, it's nice to see that they acknowledge
she's a full commander now (see the TNG ep. "Thine Own Self") and logs in
some Bridge time.
All and all, a great movie. IMHO, the best of all 8. Especially for the
"TNG/DS9" Trek fans like myself who never cared much for TOS...

Are you kidding? In Generations, this line occurs:
"Mr. Worf, I hereby promote you to the rank of LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, with
all the rights and priviliges thereto."
On DS9, not only is Worf identified in the credits as a Lt. Cmdr, but he
wears the <insignia> of such.. Same goes for First Contact.
Neither in Generations, nor First Contact, nor <ANYWHERE> on DS9, has Worf
ever been a full Commander. The only time he has been, was in one episode
of TNG (Parallels). Worf shifted among many different universes in that
episode, one of which featured him as a full Cmdr. and the Enterprise's XO
(under Capt. Riker).
But that was only one episode. In 'normal' Trek, Worf's still a lieutenant
commander.

Actually, during TNG, Worf was a Lieutenant. In Generations, he was promoted
to Lieutenant Commander. Lieutenant Commanders are sometimes addressed as
simply "Commander" for short, which may be the source of the confusion.
No, they just call him a Cmdr.....just like how they always refer to Data
as Cmdr Data, not Lt. Cmdr, even though that's his true rank...
