Read Tipler's Physics of Immortality and think about the Star Trek
universe in relation to his theorems. You'll need to know some physics
and quantum mechanics at least at the layman's level to get thru, but
the proposed theorems are a little mindboggling. For those of you with
a general scifi bent, you'll see some "Riverworld" and earlier scifi
authors had ideas that may have some validity.
