Who is Jonathan Vos Post?

And is he everything he claims he is? After reading several of his recent
posts on Charlie Stoss' blog, I am not so sure if he is the incredible
polymath he represents himself to be; have also found several contradictory
claims about him on the web.

I have met several extremely multi-talented people in real life and talked
to more on Usenet etc. but for some reason I have a nagging feeling about
this guy...

He is asking about JvP for a specific reason, relating to my
blog.

I have had many interactions with him... Everytime I have talked to him.. what ever subject we are discussing from quatum mechanics to particle physics to relativity to magnetic fields... everytime he claims to have been a professor in that field for 20 yrs... he would be about 4000 yrs old based on all he says... He also told me he work side by side with Einstein ... lmao... I was a bit thrown back by that claim... He gives links to "published papers" with Feynmann but the link takes you to a 2 bit website with no credible connection to physics community... But he is DEFINITELY a writer and one hell of a story teller... he only comments with google links and attacks with his infamous "crackpot" comments after you shut him down... I have SERIOUS doubts about anything he says

On the surface, without knowing the person, it would seem he is likely to have a personality disorder; more specifically grandiosity delusional disorder.

How do you know the guy? I have come across Jonathan Vos Post's name in the OEIS (Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences), where he posted a mathematical formula in 2009 https://oeis.org/A001700

I recalled hearing this name recently once before encountering this thread, but I
forgot the context.

Glad to hear he isn't an alias for Marilyn vos Savant.

Incidentally, in fairness to Britain, it should be noted that there is a
legitimate reason for allowing someone to be sued for libel for publishing
something that is true.

It might be true, but nobody else's business. For example, outing someone as gay.
