Recently discussed... Google has not much to say about "A Black
Christmas Carol". Does anyone know about that one?

1. A less or more free adaptation of _A Christmas Carol_ by Charles
Dickens.
2. A show that kind of does the same thing as _A Christmas Carol_ by
Charles Dickens.
3. A Christmas and African-American themed drama not quite falling
under 2.
4. A show featuring an actual "Christmas carol", a Christian or
Christmas-themed song.

Having identified recently more versions than we really need of
Dickens' _Carol_, including musical/animated/B&W/modern/female/erotic/
Muppet (not all at once, although the last two point to a genre that
covers most of the other options), Black seemed to be left out,
although the title has been used. Black also seems redundant to me in
the original story, but redundancy hasn't stopped anyone else from
making their version.

... "I am the Furry of Christmas Future"?

I was thinking of a recent or current stage show - I can't remember
the title now, I only saw a TV review and short excerpts - that was a
contemporary human-and-Muppet-puppet drama with mature-audience themes
- and musical numbers. But what was it called? Maybe it's a whole
genre?

It may not have been a Jim Henson event - those aren't the only
puppets like that in the world...

That's _almost_ got to be Avenue Q (source of the "The Internet is for porn!"
song and others). Did the actors carry the Muppety-looking puppets around the
stage, semi-bunraku-like? Checking ... Wikipedia notes that because of its
mature themes, the show specifically disavows any direct connection to either
The Jim Henson Company or Sesame Workshop.

(Heh - "Meanwhile, the Bad Idea Bears have found Sci*nto**gy...")

Yes, that'll be it. Or _Fur TV_.

If they don't already have a Christmas Carol plotline in the show, I
think they could handle one. There's quite a full Wikipedia article
but it doesn't mention a landlord (by that name)...
