Could somebody please tell me if they know of anywhere that the short
story Flowers for Algernon is currently available?

(Ideal would be a single book with both the novel and the short)

It can be found cheaply online as used paperbacks. The short story will
be found in the _Science Fiction Hall of Fame_ (original single-volume
edition; I don't know which half of that it would be in out of the
two-volume version). Order both from the same dealer, if possible, and
sve on postage.

I haven't seen them together in one binding, myself.

The short story has been spotted online, but I don't recall exactly
where. I think some school had it — I needed to look up a line to quote
in a comment.

Here's everything ISFDB has to say about the novel:

http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/title.cgi?1927

and about the short story:

And here's IMDB on _Charly_:

To find the story online, I searched on a phrase. I mention it because
the trick has served me so well in other ways, like finding texts for
Dashiell Hammett stories.

Can't give that, but The Very Best Of Fantasy & Science Fiction anthology that
I just finished reading has the short story in it. Let's see... it's the 60th
Anniversary anthology, edited by Van Gelder.

Looks like OCR at work again — "thrn" where "thru" was probably
intended, for instance.

It's amusing to think of someone trying to proof this, and to get the
misspellings just right.
