I suppose James Bond can be regarded as SF so I wonder if anyone else
has noted the rather unlikely resemblance of the star of Skyfall, Daniel
Craig, to Vladimir Putin?

No.

The only thing I've seen Craig in is the first Tomb Raider movie.
Putin is a lot better-looking.

I thought that the "actor" who most closely resembles Putin is the one who
is the model for house-elf Dobbie in the Harry Potter films.

I heard that Putin doesn't like /that/ comparison, which is why I chose
not to mention it.

So you haven't seen him in Munich, The Golden Compass, Finchers The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The London Olympics to name a few? That's your loss.
