Everyone else already left the planet?

Can I really pass for human?

You sold me a defective libido!

Cross-posting is not a dirty word, it's merely a bad idea. It's been
at least five years since it provided any benefit to Usenet; these
days it actively hurts newsgroups. The above-quoted exchange is a
better argument for that fact than anything I could say.

Followups, therefore, reduced.

I don't mind you saying so, but you're saying two different things. Am
I wrong about crossposting, or am I acting wrongly in stating my
opinion about Usenet sociology? (Which is as close as I've come to
being a netcop, unless you count being deliberate about the headers of
my own message -- which I don't count.)

No, I'm not saying two different things. Your assertion is extremely
netkkkop-like...and I feel that your suggestion that the exchange
between the goon from IF and I supports your views is simply asinine.
Fair enough?

> Am
> I wrong about crossposting,

You are generalizing something that can be a problem in specific
circumstances, this not being one of them. This, of course, means
that you're wrong on this point.

See, the op was relevant to both ngs...and the goon I responded to
couldn't seem to see that fact. He also took my comment about
shooting himself the wrong way, but then, people often fail to
consider the possibility that the words they read on usenet may have
more meaning than they're seeing.

> or am I acting wrongly in stating my opinion about Usenet sociology?

You made three assertions....never indicating that any of them were
opinions. So, which one was the opinion?

> (Which is as close as I've come to
> being a netcop, unless you count being deliberate about the headers
of
> my own message -- which I don't count.)

Actually, I never accused you of _being_ a netkkkop, but I can
understand how you may have mistakenly inferred so. On the other
hand, you _were_ on the verge, there. If you'd couched your concerns
slightly differently......for that matter, if _I'd_ phrased my reponse
a tad more clearly........oh well, what's the point, again?
