What IS a Nine-Horse Hitch?

Hi!

In TFoH there's a chapter named The Nine-Horse Hitch and at the end of
it Min asks Siuan & Leane "What *is* a nine-horse hitch anyway?" to
which Siuan said primly "In this town, it is better not to ask" and
Siuan goes into a blushing fit.

So WHAT is a nine-horse hitch anyway? I haven't figured it out yet :-/
