Holy mother of a goat. Seems like the Purple Ajah theories were
actually closer to the truth than anyone could have guessed. Now to
find out what the letter she gave to Mat entails. Verin was always
one of my favorite characters, but once I got the full understanding
of what she was doing, and what she had to sacrifice to achieve it
left me a little shivery.

That played out far better than I could have expected. How typical of
Verin, and how awesome - Purple Ajah indeed.

I wonder if she was in the DFS in tGH...

Heh, that was my instinct last night too... had to go have a look at
my copy. No clues there though, both the 'Tar Valon witches' were
completely covered but for their fingers.

Sneaky Verin is Sneaky. And rocks my socks. "By the way, that dress
you are wearing is green." So awesome.

Would have been a nice throw to the fans here on rasfw-rj if she had
said it was purple.

Am I the only one who wasn't that surprised? We had evidence already
that she lied. I'll be honest and say that I didn't see it coming, but
when I did read it I had an "aaaaaaaaahhhhh, that makes sense" moment.
An excellent conclusion to that thread I think.

Sure, but we saw her helping Rand and the wondergirls against DFs so much...
I don't understand how she could do that while obeying to the DO's orders.
For instance, protecting Rand while he cleansed Saidin while all the DFs
seemingly had orders to kill Rand. Also, if the DO talked to her, he was in
her mind and should have discovered her true feelings. The only explanation
I see is that his plans are very subtle, and Verin had special orders, and
was chosen for this job because of her feelings. Seeing as Rand almost fell
to the dark side later on, these hypothetical plans of the DO's might have
been pretty clever.

I may be jumping to conclusions, but Verin seems to know his ways pretty
well. I wonder how she could learn them simply by receiving orders from the
Forsaken or other BA.
