PS The Kansas tune Dust in the Wind might also be on Leftoverture.
Or maybe there was an album called Point of Know Return. Carry on
Wayward Son was always my favorite Kansas song, though. Maybe Mac
can sing it to Ritchie sometime :-)
There may have been others; that's all that come to mind.
I can think of three...Amanda, the recurring cat burglar/thief/all around
troublemaker who shows up every so often and causes Mac no end of grief while
romancing him...the woman who was Amanda's mentor, whose name I forget...and
Nefritiri (sp?) (whom I THINK was Nia Peebles...someone correct me), the
Egyptian who went crazy because her Roman immortal lover had taken a human wife
and ended up getting beheaded by Mac.
Wait...make that four. In a VERY early episode, maybe the second one,
Vanity appeared as a female immortal. I don't remember much of the episode,
though...I think it's on "Highlander: The Gathering", the video release of
some early episodes.
It would

You mean like Richie :) :)...in all seriousness, I like Richie, and I
think the idea of a ten year old killer tyke would be a riot. Even with the
'buzzing', few immortals would suspect the little kid...

How do I get onto the HL discussion group/maillist?
There was one I remember last season or the season before, anyway it was
when Tess was still on the show and they were living in the boat in
England. I don't remember what happened, but I don't think he had to kill
her ... maybe someone else can remember the episode better ....
Jolene
Who, besides Nefertiri (Nia Peebles)? Not Joan Jett, I know.
Did he whack Sheena Easton? That's the only one I can't remember the
outcome on....
There have been female immortals. Sheena Easton played an Irish one in an
episode where she goes after Ritchie. There was also one that had a
female immortal from the time of Cleopatra. There have been others also.
I guess you just manage to miss those episodes. They were quite
entertaining.
Jeff
Uh, there have been numerous female immortals on Highlander- the series.
Amanda is the best known, but there was all Rachel, Nefertiti and a
couple of others. Duncan has only beheaded one of them though.

"I'm probably sterile -- it runs in my family."
Felicia Martins (Felice Martin), "Free Fall"
Grace "Saving Grace"
Amanda "The Lady and the Tiger," "The Return of Amanda," "Legacy," "The
Cross of St. Antoine"
Annie Devlin "Eye for an Eye"
Nefertiri "Pharoah's Daughter"
Rebecca Horne "Legacy"
Of these, Duncan has slept with Amanda, Annie, Nefertiri, and probably
Grace. Richie has slept with Felicia. Duncan beheaded Nefertiri; he
would have beheaded Felicia except Richie begged him not to, and Rebecca
was beheaded by Luthor, one of her students.
The role played by Vanity was not an immortal.
There will be a child immortal seen in a 3rd season episode.
There have been at least three on the series so far... and I only watch
intermittantly.

Dust in The Wind was (originally) on Point of Know Return.

There was two on the TV series. Just not in the movies - violence against
women is a no-no with liberal Hollywood. Unless the female being hit gets to
act like Mrs. Bobbit later.

There have been quite a few, but Duncan usually ends up sleeping with
them. instead of killing them :)

Intresting. But you figure Immortals even if killed at a young age
must still reach adulthood, or they would just be too easy a prey for
other Immortals.

Don't forget Highlander's other female pop/rock star immortal--
Sheena Easton
Also Apalonia (sp?), but she wasn't an immortal.
Roger Daltrey's character was cool, too. (yes, I know he isn't female)
Why they got the guy from FYC I'll never know, but his character was pretty
good.

Yes, Sheena Easton appeared in the show as a female Immortal last season.

Perhaps the power that makes you immortal doesn't show up until after
(as a result of) puberty. Thus there wouldn't be any immortal children;
if you die as a child, you stay dead.

There have been half a dozen that I can think of:
o Amanda
o Amanda's mentor
o Joan Jett's evil immortal
o The ancient egyptian (played by someone named "Nia Peoples" or
something similar)
o Sheena Easton's IRA immortal.
o The female immortal who was being pursued by an obsessive ex
lover (who was also immortal).
Most of these were reasonably good with a sword (Amanda lives more
by her wits and the last one in the list seemed pretty much
helpless).
>Maybe they didn't think it would be proper to show Mac decapitating

He has beheaded at least two.
>It would

I don't think I agree. A lot of fuzzy issues come up when you ask
"what about very young/old immortals?" Unless they can come up with
some really good explanations for some things they're probably better
off leaving the issue unaddressed.

Unfortunately, Roger Daltrey was one before I started watching the
show.

Yeah, I liked him too. Xavier St. Cloud was the character's name, but
I thought Roland Gift did a fine job. Actually, I saw him in some
movie the other day on TBS. Don't know what it was though. He must
like acting.

Appolonia was another Prince protege; Vanity was on the show.
Highlander has had several female immortals, including the cat burglar
who loves Duncan, and her (now dead) mentor. Then there was the one who
lived in Brazil with another immortal who had set himself up as a god.

Felice Martin, from Free Fall, was the first lady immie we saw.
She used to pretend to be a new immortal, get training from her
intended victim, kill all those close to him/her, and then
challenge.
Then came Grace, who had no sword at all, but lots of protective
(and over-protective) immie boyfriends to protect her from people
like Felice Martin and teh Kurgan, who wouldn't have fallen for her
pacifist eyelash-batting...
Amanda is the only recurring lady immie, a 900 or more year old
trouble lovin' gal who is just a little more in love with Duncan
than he is her, I'm afraid.
Rebecca was Amanda's mentor, who was killed by one of her own
students.
Nefertiri Duncan found in her sarphogaus (I just butchered that
word) and he took her head. Long story.
Have I missed anyone? Oh, yes... Annie Devlin. Old friend of
Duncan's (well, 100 years or so) who sorta forgot the game, and
used her powers to prolong the fighting in Northern Ireland. She
challenged Richie, but didn't take his head (tho she took Duncan's,
so to speak...).
I think that's all of them so far.
LJC, who isn't going to open this up to fanfic, because then the
thread would never ever end.
