It's bad enough Orville has lost the humor, but now they have gone woke, a whole episode about a transgender kid.
Bring back the Sci-Fi

It has always been woke. They just did a better job of wrapping it in
a good story. The problem is that now the woke has become the story.

I did forgot to mention in my WDYW? thread review of this episode that
it was totally devoid of humor (except for one short silly scene with
Malloy).

Season #3 has been almost totally lacking in humor overall - I find the
tone shift jarring, and not welcome...

No, they announced it was moving to Hulu before it was cancelled.

That's not encouraging me to watch it.

I want to give a shout out to the absolute fucking morons that have
discussed the question "Has a show by Seth MacFarlane gone "woke?""
This is something to be discussed by people who are so immensely stupid
that they don't even have the slightest clue what MacFarlane stands for
in Hollywood because they have synapses that almost never fire
correctly. IQs of about 80 or 90 on the high side. The exceptionally
stupid that think global warming doesn't exist, Republican corruption
doesn't exist, and that Trump isn't a massive orange piece of dogshit.
Truly stupid people that have to consult google to help them tie their
shoes in the morning so they don't keep tying the pair of laces together
and falling on their faces. That kind of stupid.

I don't know about that... I've never watched it. I've just never
been able to stomach Seth McFartjoke's brand of "humor".

Less of that brand of "humor" could be a good thing. But I'm
not interested in sermonettes for some political position when
I want to relax with some good 'ol space opera, either.

This isn't Family Guy, it's actually pretty good. Even this 3rd season.

That's what this is, it's a lot like Star Trek:TOS.

Yep, I can't stand McFarlane's inane purile garbage like "Family Guy",
but "The Orville" is (mostly) watchable.

Well, a *slightly* sillier version of Star Trek, but it's still better
Star Trek than any of the reboot rubbish from "Enterprise" onwards. :-)

People who have worked on Orville are on record as saying McFarlane's
aim with 'The Orville' is to "do TNG right".

That's what this is, no sermonettes.

Yeah, MacFarlane's brand of comedy might be over the heads of the both
of you.

Unlikely. My head (and the heads of most people) is far above crotch level.
