You may remember the show "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction". I was
wondering, what are the sources for some of the stories on there,
namely, the ones they claim are "fact". Although whether or not the
original stories are true is, of course, debatable, that's not the
point -- the point is is _what are_ those original stories. For
example, there was one with a strange ghost or something that looked
like a pair of red eyes that would appear in a house at night and
scare the kids. They claimed this was based on a similar story, which
in turn was allegedly based on real events. What story, and where?
There was another alleged "factual" story about some guy they beat up
in a jail that turned out to be innocent and his bloody handprint kept
appearing on a wall until the cop who beat him up was finally killed
by his vengeful spirit. Where does that come from?

Any ideas, theories, suggestions?
