Why does the SciFi channel have such horrible sound quality? Has
anyone else noticed the loud hum that fluctuates with the volume?
I am pretty sure that it is not the television set since I notice this
problem at home and at college, and these places even have different
cable systems. I don't know what to do about it, any suggestions?

I've noticed that too. They also seem to triple the volumn during the
commercials (but many stations do this).

That's nothing. Lincoln CableVision has it scrambled as part of their 10
additional Extended Basic channels, and it does not come in stereo here.
(Indeed, only one of the 10 DOES come in stereo: Country Music TV.)

So, can anyone tell me what they are doing wrong and how to fix it? Proper
satellite information might be helpful. Central time zone. E-mail
preferred.
