Caught the 1st and last episode of the first season.

Gatiss and Moffat's approach to both are very similar.

A study in Pink repeated mentioned.

similar to Let's Kill Hitler.

Well the series must have been good enough to transform Sherlock into
Captain Kirk's newest enemy, and Dr Watson into a Hobbit! Sorry, THE
Hobbit.

Cumberbatch also gets to play the Hobbit's principle villain, Smaug
the Dragon. No doubt Freeman will be found a part in Star Trek to
redress the balance. Just hope they find the time to continue
Sherlock.

I expect to see a crossover sometime. :D
That said, I'd really recommend seeing the second season. The first
season of Sherlock was fantastic but the second just blows it out of the
water. Especially the finale. Oh man.

Called "Un Scandale à Buckingham" in France, because, let's face it, nobody
here knows what Belgravia is.

And the episode is really worth seeing, if only for Lara Pulver. Once you
see it, you'll understand. Believe me, you'll understand !

Sherlock was first broadcast in July 2010. Freeman had been under
consideration prior to this, but the casting was officially announced
late in October 2010. Peter Jackson remarked that he was the only real
contender for the part.

Principal photography is due to end in July 2012. The films are
scheduled for release in December 2012 and December 2013. The next
series of Sherlock is expected to begin filming early 2013 (but not
yet confirmed).
