From Reuters/Variety:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'Xena' Star Injured In Accident
The star of ``Xena: Warrior Princess'' is in stable
condition after a fall this week. Lucy Lawless fractured her
pelvis after falling from a horse while practicing a skit for
''The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.'' A spokesman for the
syndicated show says production will be only minimally affected.
The series is on hiatus with 10 episodes in the can that will
last beyond the November sweeps period. ``She's going to be
fine,'' the spokesman said. ``It may just take a couple of shows
for her to get back into it.''

-----------------------------------------------------------------

A fractured pelvis doesn't heal *that* quickly, for cryin' out
loud! Maybe the show should follow Gabrielle on a personal
quest or something for a while; it'd give Renee O'Connor a chance
to spread her wings and Lucy Lawless a chance to rest up and heal...

Hope she gets well!

Notice that it said fractured, not broken (which would be
crippling). From all reports I have heard she will be laid up for 4
to 8 weeks. She will not have to have surgery, which is also a good
sign.

EXCUSE ME, but "fracture" IS THE medical term for " a break in bone"
(Having has some medical training, I know.) Be glad that Ms. Lawless
didn't suffer any COMPOUND FRACTURES, where the bone breaks through the
skin! Sounds like she suffered possibly a hairline fracture, a VERY
SMALL BREAK IN THE BONE, -yontz
