>5. Will Garibaldi assistant get caught? Or rather, how soon...

Look at the season-two promo at the end of the episode. There's a super-
brief clip of someone in riot gear (Lou Welch?) grabbing Garibaldi's aide
and throwing him against a wall. I hope JMS gives that aide a name!

Other interesting tidbits in that promo:

- Narn fighters attacking large spiny grey ships (not anything we've seen
before, I think.)
- Lennier in Delenn's quarters, in front of the chrysalis, implying that
Delenn will still be inside at the start of season two.
- A Minbari war cruiser with a squad of fighters.
- Vir, with much longer, more solid hair. Does he get a promotion?
- Londo(?) being chewed out by someone, perhaps the Emperor.

Looks like things are heating up in year two as promised.

WOW! Just watched the US downlink. Great Episode!

I really wish we had seen it at the _end_ of last season, not the the start
of the new one, it was clearly written to give us all a lot to talk about
over the summer. For unresolved issues:

1. What is Delenn changing into?
A Vorlon? I don't think so, at least not one like Kosh - she didn't
speak
in musical riddles in B^2.

2. Will Garibaldi live?
Probably - we have seen his future

3. What will G'Kar find out about the Shadows on the homeworld?
What _are_ the shadows? My theory (which I relinquish the rights to in
case
it is what JMS had planned) is that the shadows are 4 dimensional
beings
which live in hyperspace. What we "see" of them is actually just the 3
dimensional projection they cast into our plane of existance -
essentially
a shadow. That's how they can move around hidden and why they need an
intermediary to interact with folks.

4. How are the Shadows planning on using Londo?
I suspect they want him to start a war, but there are certainly a wide

range of possibilities.

5. Will Garibaldi assistant get caught? Or rather, how soon...

I'd almost rather he didn't get caught quickly. Have Garibaldi, but
make
sure his assistant covers his tracks well enough that he stays in the
show
a while longer. _We_ would know, but they wouldn't.

6. Who is behind the assasination of the EA President?
The Vice President? Earth First? The Shadows? Psi-Corp?
My guess - Yes, Yes, Perhaps, YES!

Yeah, JMS would never pull the carpet out from under us by showing us a
possible future scene and then killing off the character :-)

Though you are probably right, his destiny also lies elsewhere.

Besides, too early to kill off anybody, we need to grow more attached to them.

I would think that if Garibaldi survives (and it's very likely he will)
then the assistant will be caught. It should be pretty obvious to
Garibaldi the person most likely to have shot him from behind was the
assistant.

What a perfectly horrible fate for such a nice being!

But that's a very good suggestion. It would explain the crucial
importance of Sinclair and the humans in the Prophecy, and it does not contra-
dict the known facts (we see Delenn in the future, but only her arm, not her
face).

One thing has struck me all through the series so far- G'Kar has
exceptionally good intelligence sources. He always seems to be on top of the
goings on at B5, he normally is striding into Sinclair's office shortly
after something happens, this goes back to 'The Gathering'. I expect that he
will find out very shortly the proof of the 'other' races' existence , he
talks about this to his aide after the distruction of the Narn base....

And don't forget that his "people watch [Londo], [Londo's] people watch" him
(Survivors). I wouldn't be surprised if G'Kar's spies hadn't noticed
Londo/Morden's garden conversation.

And the Aide did not even report the stuff Garibaldi found to Sinclair -

It shouldn't take Garibaldi to peg the traitor. One security guard
noted the PPG gun was cold - it hadn't been fired. They also had to
know who was with Garibaldi when he was looking at the cargo that
didn't make it off-station. I think JMS has given us the answer to
this question in the trailer -
Near the end is a scene of someone being swung out of a doorway and
slammed into a wall. The one swinging is our traitor and the one doing
the swinging is Garibaldi's #3 or 4. He's dressed in the outfit used
to break up the riot in "By Any Means Necessary." (Of course it helps
if you can step through it frame by frame!)

Agreed, but it would clinch things.

Ah, there's been no trailer in the UK.

I'm moving to Africa, where B5 isn't broadcast. :-( So I'm relying on
you kind folk to tell me what's happening.

That's the inimitable Lou Welch, rapidly rising in my personal B5
pantheon. I'm hoping Lou's handiwork makes "Pulp Fiction" look tame; I
guess that means Macauley Bruton's doing a really good job as Garibaldi's
aide, 'cuz I'm not much for loathing fictional characters. :)

So - is there any official techy name for the security outfits, or is it
just Riot Gear(tm)? Makes the guys look tasty, I'll tell ya...

I think the shooting of Garibaldi was more of a plot device to delay
the information to Sinclair. I think he will live.

I don't the PSIs are involved. I do think that the Vice President, Earth

that a large number of the Senate are glad happened but not involved per

OK -

I screen of spoiler guard - no more.

OK -

You are a cop and some slime maggot guns down your boss.

Another cop finds the guys and they don't survive.

Are YOU going to complain because 'justice' was done???
(From MY point of view - IF you shoot a cop - whether he
survives or not - you should not survive long after the
trial. The simple act of shooting the cop should warrant
the death penalty).

Your buddy took vengeance. You do NOT have reason to think he
had a different agenda.

If the other guy continued on - "These scum shot Garibaldi! You
want to give the Ombuds a chance to screw up and let them go?"

So Garibaldi's Aide "zapped the guy who shot Garibaldi". Think anyone on
Security is going to squeal on him? Great alibi.

They do? They *might* keep those sorts of commlink tracking records, but
we've not seen them before, even when they might have been useful.
