2 observation:

1) DS9's demographics is still #1 in both W25-54 and M25-54.
2) B5's demographics is behind DS9 now, and base on the %Change, way
behind last year!

But JMS said: "And our demographics continue to be better than DS9."

I don't usually like to compare shows, because I like BOTH of them, but to
counter-act this slanted analysis:
3) DS9's demographics have dropped since last year.
4) B5's demos have climbed since last year.
5) DS9's overall rating dropped from 6.7 to 5.9
6) B5's overall rating climbed from 3.0 to 3.2

The demographics JMS were looking at were during the height of the Shadow
War. AT THAT TIME, the demos for B5 outstripped DS9.

Gee both you and JMS compare them all the time.

JMS claim to have better than DS9 demographics last years too.
B5 is behind now with the rating increase. Your point 3)& 4)
only prove B5 was worse last year.

For 96-97 season to date:
M25-54 2.7 / 4.8 = 56%
F25-54 2.2 / 4.1 = 54%

Based on your %Change, season 95-96 :
M25-54 2.5 / 5.4 = 46%
F25-54 1.9 / 4.4 = 43%

demographics of ANY dramatic series in syndication, finally beating DS9

There were numerous "Our demographics are *amazing*" post too.
But from the number you posted, I honestly don't see it!

That all because B5 have a really bad Q4 95, so the 95-96 season rating
was affected. The 96-97 season to season look improved. All this have
nothing to do with demographics...

Based on your GAA Sweeps rating:
Sweeps B 5 vs DS9
Nov 1994: 4.8 / 8.6 = 56%
Feb 1995: 4.7 / 8.4 = 56%
May 1995: 4.0 / 7.4 = 54%
Nov 1995: 3.1 / 7.7 = 40% << THE drop !!

Based on your GAA Season rating:
Season
95-96: 3.0 / 6.7 = 45% << including the Nov 95 sweeps.
96-97: 3.2 / 5.9 = 54%

Amazing isn't it! B5's rating is *always* 56% of DS9 since
94 Nov, with the exception of only one sweeps - Nov95.
(Since stat. like these usually have a few % error within 95% confident
interval. I consider those 54% and 58% the "same" as 56%. Well may be
Nov 95 is the one outside the 95% C.I. ;-)

BTW, when can you get Feb97 and May97 sweeps number for DS9 and the
other
show? B5's rating is droping since the end of the shadow war, I what to
know how long this magic 56% can hold true. :-)

In this case, AT THAT TIME, which was fall 96 AFAICT.

When JMS said B5 have great/amazing/stellar/killer demographics, I
assume B5 have more viewers in one of those age groups. I honestly
see no evident of that from your number!

Look, I'm not suggesting you or JMS lie, that was why I asked where
you get your data from. One of you have must have erroneous data.
