I heard on Computer Chronicles (weekly computer show) that there IS a
Video Toaster for the PC.... but since I've never actually seen such a
beast, I'm assuming it was planned and then scrapped... can anyone giveme
more info on this? I would sound like a good Idea... especially with the
Pentium... and Local bus would add to it also.... (interface to the
system that it)...

There is, or will be soon, an official port of LightWave3D to Intel.
I don't know about anything else, though.

The Video Toaster for the PC -- or Mac -- was nothing but an
Amiga with a Toaster installed and some special networking and other
software installed. The Amiga was controlled remotely through the PC or
Mac. Reduced to dumb terminal status.

There is a port of Imagine already, the port of Lightwave is due
Real Soon Now. Almost as good as the real things. 8D
