ATTN: JMS: Another casualty? ("Chrysalis" SPOILER)

An inquiry for JMS:

When Dr. Stephen Franklin assumed his post in "Soul Hunter," we learned
that his predecessor, Dr. Benjamin Kyle, had been recalled to Earth to
assist the President on a project involving Earth's relations with alien
races. Dr. Kyle, of course, was one of two human beings to have
penetrated the secrecy of Kosh's encounter suit for direct contact
with a Vorlon ("The Gathering").

In "Chrysalis" we saw Earth Force One give new meaning to the word
"smithereens" when President Santiago arrived at the Io jump point,
where he was scheduled to give a New Year's Day speech expected to
address the theme of human-alien relations.

Question: Was Dr. Kyle, an expert assisting the president on alien
relations, on board Earth Force One and, therefore, another victim of
the explosion?

Corollary Question: If Dr. Kyle was one of the casualties, would Lyta
Alexander, the Psi-Corps telepath who was the other human being to have
direct contact with a Vorlon ("The Gathering"), be well advised to
invest immediately in a substantial life insurance policy?

What an idea! What if the assasination of the President wasn't an
assasination? What if the true target was Dr. Kyle. (Intermediaries like
Blue Six and Deveraux may well believe that the President was the real
target). So where does this take us?
