SPOILERS: Chrysalis Speculations

Like every one else who's seen Chrysalis, I'm wondering what is happening to
Delenn. There are a few things that I noticed that may answer this.

First, when Kosh came in to the bar (great scene, loved Sinclair's reaction) he
said "And so it begins." What was interesting is that was precisely Delenn's
comment at the end of the rebirth ceremony in Parliament of Dreams. While it is
conceivable that this is merely a coincidence, I am very inclined to doubt it.

Delenn's decision to enter the Chrysalis seemed to be crystallized after she
saw Kosh. I believe that this was truly a turning point in her decision. We
also know that at some point later in the series, Sinclair and Delenn will be
able to travel in time. Although we saw those two together in Babylon Squared,
there is no guarentee that they've always stayed together, and Delenn could have
gone further back, alone. We were also very deliberately not shown what she
looked like in that shot.

I've discussed this theory with some friends around here, and so far I'm the
only one who likes it. The most glaring problem with this idea - that Kosh is
Delenn - is the existence of other Vorlons. We've seen many Vorlon ships in the
Gathering, and we saw one again in Deathwalker, with Kosh obviously not piloting
it. On the other hand, I think this idea makes lots of sense based on the points
above. Any one else have their speculations, or a way to clean up the holes in
this one?

I have to agree that Kosh's use of the phrase is more than coincidence
but IMHO it is a double-entendre. It refers to both Delenn's
transformation and the start of the Great War.

The prospect of Kosh being Delenn would raise all sort of temporal
problems, not that JMS would ever do this. 8-) Additionally, we have
never seen more than one Vorlon, Kosh (actually we haven't even seen
_him_! 8-) ). We have seen lots of ships, from which one can guess
there are other Vorlons but what if Kosh is the only "Vorlon" (Kosh =
Valen) and the ships are AI artifacts remaining from a now dead Vorlon
race?

Ok, OK! Not very likely as that would mean that unless the ship's AI
was _really_ inteligent or the human race was _really_ special, we're
all toast against the Shadows. 8-)
