That's a safe bet, Ceci. You will not see Talia in the remainder of B5.
The in-joke at Babylonian Productions, according to the Producer, is
that they wanted to show Talia's brain in a jar on a shelf or desk.

She is history.

Hmmm, why the aggressive almost mean looking way of handling the departure?
I mean...why such a mean spirited joke of having her brain in a jar?

Inquiring minds wanna know. ;)

As Joe says, "Stuff Happens". It ain't a tragedy if it happens to
someone we know nothing about.

Could be as simple as a bunch of powerful men glad to be rid of the
uppity
woman actress who wasn't happy with the meager role she played.

Or, to tie it into the B5 story, Talia was Psi-Corps and had been given
a gift of telekinesis and ultra tp power beyond her means. The Psi-corps
decided it would be easier to dissect her to discover the secret, rather
than breed her and hope to replicate the talent.

The psi-corps is ruthless.

Some of the comments she made about her character could
not be true.
Like that fact that Ivanova and Talia often had sex, and
that there were plans for a love triangle.
Why? Quite simple, the only people who would have known
about that was the production staff, as JMS continually
points out, the actors are kept in the dark about the story
as much as the audience is. If JMS had said it, it would
have been different. And if JMS did hate her guts [yes, that
brings to mind what it should] he wouldn't have told AT
about it anyway. And AT is bitter about this, she would
make up stuff just for the Hell of it.
And there are story reasons why what she says happened never
could have. If you wish me to elaborate, I will.

I will be and am disappointed that we will never see Talia again.

It seems to me that both this character and plot development have
been wasted. In particular, why give her that special psychic
gift, of which so little was made, when she was going to simply
get removed completely from the show? If the actress is not working
out, why not bring in a new actress to play the character?

The reference was NOT to the actress who played Talia; the
reference was to the -character- of Talia.

Bester made a comment in "Dust to Dust" that Talia had been
dissected, i.e., Talia's brain in jar.

Because in BABYLON 5, as in Real Life, shit happens.

Yup...could be. The second suggestion sounds *really* like something
that could happen in the B5 universe.
