(double-posting over here because i'm unsure whether anyone's still behind
the helm of the moderated group)

...this is 100% a love letter to fandom of the original series and i
loved it like a kid on christmas morning!..

...my immediate reaction as the credits roll: it's as well-made as
amazon's *ex machina*, but so steeped in original-series lore (and winks)
that i'm skeptical uninitiated audiences might appreciate the
narrative...the production is top-notch nonetheless - and possibly a
backdoor pilot for the reboot?..
...the new voice actors for characters whose original players have sadly
passed on were very good!..it feels like it's cut from the same cloth as
seasons two/three/four; very much a welcomed visit from warmly-missed old
friends...

...television and audiences have changed tremendously over the past
quarter century, but any trepidation i had of the stumbling end with which
babylon 5 greeted the new millenium is fully ameliorated: this is *good*
it the way that everything after season four deserved...

I think it's long-abandoned.

I had low expectations for Legend of the Rangers and Lost
Tales and... they met those expectations. My expectations
are even lower this time but I always leave a little room
for someone to disappoint me.

I'd complain this is a spoiler, but jms alluded to it
already on Twitter. I don't like the sound of it.

From the little bit I've heard of the various YouTube clips,
only Garibaldi sounds close. But this is one thing I will
not hold against it.

Mine isn't even here yet! Despite low expectations, I still
plan to watch as soon as I can...

Wasn't aware of this at all, heard of the reboot rumours mind so I don't know how I missed this.
Thanks!

vox machina*...

Dug out a newsreader, just to come here and post this, because it made me
feel very retro too (in a good way)

Tom,
Who used to edit the Babylon Five Technical Manual ( and it's Update )
