I somehow never realized that he was also Peter Woodward's father. No
wonder they worked SO well together.

Edward and Peter's last scene together at the end of "The Long Road" is
very fitting, as is the very end with Alwyn's ship leaving.

My sympathies for his passing. May we all be inspired by his work and
his acting. We're all going to die someday and the only thing we can
change is what we achieve before that happens.

RIP. A first-rate actor. Be it as "Callan" or "The Equalizer," or in
"Breaker Morant," or even a relatively small (but funny) role in "Hot
Fuzz," he could always be counted on to deliver a fully-committed
performance. In the relatively few interviews I've seen/read with
him, he seemed like he was probably a heck of a nice guy, too. At 79,
he had a decent innings. But he'll still be missed.
