Wrong.
Not all of us have local affiliates that support B5, nor
are all of us assured of being able to go on viewing it,
regardless of Warners' renewal.
The fact that WB has renewed B5 does NOT mean that all of
the local stations have followed suit. WWCP, in central
Pennsylvania (which is the B5 source for Altoona, Johnstown,
and the entire Pennsylvania State University), is one example:
They have still not announced their decision on renewal
(Write your letters NOW, even if you already have done so --
WWCP is now under new management. The address is:
WWCP-TV
Ms. Sharon Maloney, General Manager
1450 Scalp Avenue
Johnstown, PA 15904
)
And I gather from what I read here that Boston and Toronto are in
a similar state of limbo.
In the general rejoicing over B5's renewal by Warners, please
do NOT assume that all local affiliates are doing likewise.
For many of us, the renewal battle is still on.

John,
I should have prefaced my previous post with my local situation. I
lost the local battle last year before season three. Here in Des
Moines, Iowa KDSM cancelled B5 last fall so I know from personal
experience how painful it is to have B5 stripped away from me. Luckily
my dad tapes it for me each week down in southern Kansas.

This is why it is vital to call and thank the local affiliates and to
start working on them for season five. After B5 was cancelled last
fall I do not assume anything when the local affiliates are involved.

John,
This is very true so I just faxed a second letter to WWCP. I only that
they pay attention. Too bad the students aren't in town.
