I was watching the season 2 "Angel" episode "Dead End" yesterday, when
I was surprised to see Richard Biggs as one of the doctors involved in
giving Lindsey MacDonald a new hand. For those who have the DVD or
taped the episode when it aired, watch the scene of the operation. At
one point as the lead surgeon speaks, one of the other doctors turns
and looks to his left. Freeze the image when this doctor is looking
straight ahead, and you'll clearly see that it's Richard Biggs. He's
wearing a surgical mask, but there's no mistaking him.

Wonder why he didn't receive any on screen credit? Granted, he didn't
have any lines, but that's not always a prerequisite.

Anyway, it was a bit of a surprise to see him in that scene. It's
actually the first time I've seen him on celluoid since he died (I'd
finished watching my "Babylon 5" DVDs earlier in the spring).

Rick

P.S. I don't know about the rest of you, but it still feels weird to
me that Richard Biggs is dead. Not sure why. Maybe because the way he
died- an apparent anyeurism- is how a co-worker died, and her death
felt just as unreal.

I don't have season 2 on DVD yet, but thanks for the tip. As for why he
didn't get credited, I'm sure it's because whatever lines he may have had
were obviously cut - I don't think they're required to provide a credit for a
non-speaking role.

In case you missed the info on another thread, Rick Biggs is featured
prominently in the DVD extras for the new version of Dawn of the Dead.
There's one extra that's like a news feature covering the events of the
movie, and he's the news anchor who stays on his desk through many hours of
the crisis. Does a darned good job, as well.

Go back and listen and see if you can tell me who it is.

About 2 weeks ago I was casually watching CSI on SpikeTV and it was about
some boxing match where the boxer killed his opponent in the ring, and they
were investigating whether he did it intentionally. There were a couple
side cases related to this event, including some gangster in the audience
who got his shoes stepped on by a random kid. The gangster's... well...
gang... followed him outside and shot him up, etc.

Anyway, when they finally pull the gangster into the interrogation room, the
lawyer defending him during questioning was Richard Biggs! It was just an
odd small part in that one episode, but it shook my head up thinking
"WTF?!?" when I saw him. It was (obviously) filmed well before his death,
but I'd never watched any CSI episodes until Spike picked it up recently, so
it seemed like a brand new show to me.

Mr. Biggs was in a lot of stuff I've never before, so I'm sure I'll have
more such "Tupac moments" in the future. Hopefully there was lots of
unreleased footage of him too, so maybe he'll have an extensive posthumous
acting career too! well, I know. that's probably too much to hope for...

He was also (he played a neat bad-guy) in "Diagnosis Murder". But
your reaction was just about mine when I heard Richard's voice first -
then saw it (though I already knew who I was looking for!)

Does his family get his residuals? Or did he even get them anymore?

He was the newscaster in the remake of Dawn of the Dead, too. The sad
thing there is that I didn't realize it was him until I was watching one
of the extras on the DVD. One of the extras was all of the news footage,
and I just sat there enraptured by Mr. Biggs' performance, which you
basically miss in the movie because he is really only ever on a TV in
the background.

If this was already reported somewhere up the thread, sorry for the
repeat info, but I just wanted to share.

I am pretty sure residuals do go to an actor's estate after their

Now tie the thighs up tight to hold it all together.
Place breast side up in a large metal roasting pan.
Bake in 325° oven covered for 2 hours.
Remove cover, stick a cooking thermometer deep into one of the
baby?s buttocks and cook uncovered till thermometer reads 190°,
about another hour.

Pro-Choice Po-Boy

Soft-shelled crabs serve just as well in this classic southern delicacy.
The sandwich originated in New Orleans, where an abundance of abortion clinics
thrive and hot French bread is always available.

2 cleaned fetuses, head on
2 eggs
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 cup seasoned flour
oil enough for deep frying
1 loaf French bread
Lettuce
tomatoes
mayonnaise, etc.

Marinate the fetuses in the egg-mustard mixture.
Dredge thoroughly in flour.
Fry at 375° until crispy golden brown.
Remove and place on paper towels.

Holiday Youngster

One can easily adapt this recipe to ham, though as presented,
it violates no religious taboos against swine.

1 large toddler or small child, cleaned and de-headed
Kentucky Bourbon Sauce (see index)
1 large can pineapple slices
Whole cloves

Place him (or ham) or her in a large glass baking dish, buttocks up.
Tie with butcher string around and across so that he looks like
he?s crawling.
Glaze, then arrange pineapples and secure with cloves.

meat comes off easily with a fork.

Oven-Baked Baby-Back Ribs

Beef ribs or pork ribs can be used in this recipe,
and that is exactly what your dinner guests will assume!
An excellent way to expose the uninitiated to this highly misunderstood
yet succulent source of protein.

2 human baby rib racks
3 cups barbecue sauce or honey glaze (see index)
Salt
black pepper
white pepper
paprika

Remove the silverskin by loosening from the edges,
then stripping off.
Season generously, rubbing the mixture into the baby?s flesh.
Place 1 quart water in a baking pan, the meat on a wire rack.
Bake uncovered in 250° oven for 1½ hours.
When browned, remove and glaze,
return to oven and bake 20 minutes more to form a glaze.
Cut ribs into individual pieces and serve with extra sauce.

Fresh Sausage

If it becomes necessary to hide the fact that you are eating
human babies, this is the perfect solution.
But if you are still paranoid, you can substitute pork butt.

5 lb. lean chuck roast
3 lb. prime baby butt
2 tablespoons each:
salt
black, white and cayenne peppers
celery salt
garlic powder
parsley flakes
brown sugar
1 teaspoon sage
2 onions
6 cloves garlic
bunch green onions, chopped
