Please tell me they are going to be monthly from now on. The pain of waiting
2 months for another JMS 'fix' is too much. The story was really good.
I have a bad feeling as to who the killer is based on past writing styles:

It's Sanctuary, isn't it.
I say that because I would think that JMS would have the killer appear
early. There have been 6 specials that have appeared in all 4:
Poet - (Lead character, investigating the killer)
Ravenshadow - (I want to see more of this character! I doubt it's the
killer, because he's implied to be one of the good guys)
Flagg/Patriot/Anthem/Name to be determined - Again, one of the supposed
'Good guys'
Matthew Bright - Again, a hero.
Pyre - Dead
Sanctuary - Ambiguous, with ominous foreshadowing. Sigh, I liked this
character.
anyway the body count:
Specials (4):
Joey Drake (Unseen, sometime before Issue #2)
Peter Dawson (Issue #2)
Pyre/Lee Jackson (Issue #3)
David Mueller (Issue #4)
Animals:
A small back alley cat (Ressurected)
> Pyre - Dead
I have seen no evidence of this.
> Pyre/Lee Jackson (Issue #3)
Pyre's name is Jerry Montrose. (Issue #0)

Anyway, a post that followed yours was deleted on my server, and I want to
see what is said. It was by Daniel W. Johnson.
Hm. Sanctuary's the flying religious figure, correct? Hm? Religious man
(zealot?) kills others he thinks is evil. Tried and true plotline. I hope
JMS doesn't try it, and that it isn't true.

There's an issue #0?!?

I imagine the confusion of names comes from the scene in #3 in which
Pyre is fighting Flagg while Lee Jackson incognito looks on. As the
scene in in the middle of "The Lee Jackson Story" one might easily think
that Pyre is Lee, but it isn't the case.
>Actually, Pyre -- Jerry -- is alive; it's the other firestarter, Lee Jackson,
>who's dead.
I think the confusion between the two comes because Pyre hasn't been
named, to my recollection, in any of the regular issues yet, and there's
a scene of him fighting Flagg, Jason, in #3 while in the midst of Lee's
story. See one guy on fire in the middle of the story of another and
it's understanable that one might confuse the two.

Big, fat, invulnerable guy evil? Comatose telepath guy evil? Sanctuary
would have to be pretty warped to come to that conclusion. Besides,
he's explicity eliminated as a possible murderer in #2. :) He's too
much under the Press's eye to be able to slip away for an occassional
murder...at least by the reasoning in that issue.
Yeah, that's correct. I'd wanted one panel in 3 that helped separate them out,
but it didn't quite come out the way I'd described, but we should clarify that
soon.

I doubt he will - that would be a newt, and JMS does alligators. :->
We've spent the first four issues beginning to find out what's going on. I
gather from JMS's recent post on the subject, issue 5 is going to to turn
what we know so far inside out... and of course that'll only be the
beginning. :->
Let's see how silly this prediction looks at the end of the series... I think
we'll find out what caused the "flash" in the first place, that it was
deliberate, and that the ramifications of it all are going to surprise the
instigator almost as much as they do everybody else.
Now some comments on the issue itself...
this is a spoiler space. It is here for obvious reasons.
Now THAT, as my daughter remarked after reading the issue is quite a
superpower. The strongest of the lot.. and all things considered I think
she's lucky nobody's found out what it is, even her. At least this way she
has a life of her own.
There's a special preview issue _and_ and an issue #0.

I see that now. Okay, I have the special preview issue, and I obviously
missed #0.

Issue #0 was polybagged in the Wizard Fathom Special. The magazine ran
$3.99 US. Your local comic shop may have some copies left.
