Firefly reference on "Castle"

Anyone notice the visual reference to "Firefly" on the Halloween episode
of "Castle" last week? In the opening scene, you see Nathan Fillion
dressing up as Malcolm Reynolds with the pistol and long coat. Turns out
to be a costume for a Halloween party (he's a "space cowboy").

Must have been fun for him doing that scene....

And don't forget the spoken reference to "Buffy", in which he played a
recurring character in the last season or two.

I especially loved the bit where Castle's daughter said something like
"wasn't that 5 years ago?" and told him to "let it go".

The two other detectives were also dressed up in former roles at the
party at the end.
