I just found out an interesting fact through the SW Screen saver. Owen Lars is
Obi-Wans brother.... how the heck is this possible?! Wouldn't Obi have given
luke to someone other than his brother to avoid detection from the imperials?

Luke keeps calling Owen Lars "Uncle Owen". Owen Lars DEFINITELY knew the way
Anakin Skywalker turned into Darth Vader (as he always lied to Luke about
it). If he is REALLY Lukes uncle, and if he is the brother of Ben Kenobi,
wouldn't that mean (considering the fact Anakin/Vader is Luke's father) that
Owen Lars and Ben Kenobi are VADER'S BROTHERS? No, 'tis certainly wrong.

relation. However, it might be a good *wow* factor
if Ben and Anakin are brothers. (though that might be
using the family twist a bit much).

"Uncle" Owen is definitely Obi-Wan's brother, but is not really Luke's
biological uncle. The novels establish this, but the revelation is cut
out of the movie.

oddly -- but that could be just a minor inconsistency.
Though, I believe it has been mentioned on the net that Owen or
Baru could have been related to Ms. Skywalker, or that Baru
could have been related to Anakin. It could be possible that
Lady Skywalker was Owen's sister, married the pilot Anakin and
then Obi Wan got ahold of him, and then everything happened.

Some of you have it all screwed up. The part which was cut out of Star
Wars revealed that Owen Lars was, in fact, Obi Wan's brother. It did NOT
say that Obi Wan and Luke were related. It is probable that Lars and Beru
are not Luke's blood relatives, but rather only took care of him to keep
him safe. Do you honestly believe that Vader wouldn't have Checked there
to find Luke if Lars *was* related to Anakin?
