Is there a site for valuations on figs? Can't find one.

Thanks

I don't think so. There were two or three a while back, but they all seemed
to have closed down or have been "under maintenance" for a long time.

Searching and watching auctions on ebay is probably the best indication of
what idiots are willing to pay, but the real world value is usually a lot
less than that (often because the ebay con-artist scams people by saying the
figure is "rare" when in fact they are available by the ton at the usual web
stores).

Thanks, i couldn't find any either.

I ask, because my son is getting into SW, and back in the day I had
collected quite a bit of stuff. I would like to open them up and let
him play with them, but thought I'd check if any are truly worth
keeping as collectibles, and let him have the rest.

Thanks again!

It depends on how old it is. Original stuff from the late 1970s if it's
still in it's packaging and in good condition may be worth a fair bit of
money (even loose ones in good condition can sometimes be worth selling),
but the later stuff like PotF and especially all the new Prequel Trilogy
figures / vehicles have been "collected" by far too many people as a
supposed investment to actually be even worth what they paid for them.

Another option is to check the prices at web stores like BrainsToys.com who
sell (and buy) second-hand figures, although they do tend to be somewhat
over-priced - check both the "for sale" price and the "wanted to buy" list.
