After downing his 34th drink, with no effect on his droid physiology,
the Jedi Hacker gave up on trying to drown his troubles. Sure she'd
been no end of demanding, but his human soul just couldn't bear to give
up on Mara. He could rewrite a few of her subroutines, but just felt
wrong. And why this sudden desire to kill him? Maybe he should let her...
==========================

In a dense woodland somewhere Mara woke. Her head again attatched to
her body, everything feeling in order. Nearby the Jedi Hacker stooped,
his back to her, tending a small campfire. Between them a shortsword
leaned against a tree. The KILL program engaged. She Lunged towards
her target, grabbed the sword, and decaptiated the Hacker in one fluid
motion, landing in a clean tuck and roll. Surveying the severed head
and corpse she realized she was cold and hungery.

Jan van Hire, King of the Münster Anabaptists, watched with satisfaction
at the death of an annoyance.

Mara looked around for any food. Nothing in the open, no packs in
sight, only the corpse and the forest. She searched the Hackers body
for any food. Nothing except his locked PDA, a lighter, his lightsabre,
a half full canteen, and a coil of rope. At least the fire would keep
her warm.

hours later...

She placed another piece of wood on the fire. With the sword to cut
branches keeping the fire going shouldn't be too much of a problem,
though she disliked the way fresh cut wood smoked. Looking up she saw
clouds moving in, dark clouds that brought rain. And she was very
hungery. The Hacker had always provided food and shelter. Why wasn't
he doing do now? Oh yeah, she'd killed him.

She remembered their time on middle earth. The golden days. The grey
goo that stuff could be made from, that the Hacker always carried with
him. Another search of the corpse showed nothing new. Rain broke. In
desperation she wrapped his cloak around her and huddled over the fire.

more hours later...

The rain came down in torents. She was cold, wet, tired, and still
hungery. The fire had gone out when the campsite flooded, driving her
out of the clearing to seak what shelter she could. Why had she killed
her provider, her companion? That didn't matter, she just knew that she
must. But why then, here away from everything? Exausted she dozed.
===================

In a lab on the Giant PDA the Jedi hacker turned away from a monitor.
things were progressing. He hated to make his lady love suffer like
this, but things just couldn't go on as they had.

================
Summary:

many more have to be buried before your thirst for vengeance is satisfied?"
