I don't know, but the way I pronounce it is QUEUE-ROSS-CANT. It's just a
guess. Perhaps anyone can verify the correct pronunciation?

This makes no sense to me at all. It doesn't even look close to that
phonetic pronounciation.
: I pronounce it TRANTOR...
Hah! Yes, I agree. It is a rather blatant rip-off, isn't?

As much as I LOVE Star Wars, it's great to see someone who recognizes one of
the places that Lucas obviously got some of his sci-fi ideas. (The first ones
I noticed were Captain Han Pritcher, formerly a pirate and smuggler; and
wasn't there a planet named Corell, or Correllia, or something?...If you don't
know it yet, it's from Isaac Asimov's 'Foundation' series.)

I can't think of anything to add to that.

Actually, Coruscant is a real word. Coruscate means to glisten or
shine like a jewel. "Coruscant" literally means "glistening."
BTW, in the dictionary it's pronounced like it looks, and the S is
pronounced like an S usually is; the C's are pronunced like a K...

Lucas pronounces it CORE-UH-SANT (no c sound in the last syllable). The way
it was pronounced in TIE Fighter is now considered wrong.

The hiveworld/cityworld concept is a sf standard, they pop up all over

Getting down's easy. Getting back up again may be a challenge.
