Very well done! Most of what you wrote made me want to know more about
all of the canceled books and comics...damn! One more thing to worry
about!

Thanks, John! That's exactly the reaction I was hoping people would
have. You just made my day. :)

Incidentally, my original article had a LOT more information about
Lightsider, but it was decided to reduce it to the one remaining
paragraph, for legal reasons. My apologies to those to whom I
promised more info on Lightsider -- I didn't know until the last
minute that it would be cut. Cest la vie!

Legal reasons or money reasons?

I've not seen the article yet, but I know magazines (at least technical
journals) will jerk people around about length. Although they just
charge the authors by the page when they go over an insanely small
limit.

Legal reasons -- you see, the Lightsider incident is a sensitive issue
for all involved. I had interviewed Tom Veitch for the article and
went into the legal history of his split with LFL, but they decided
"not to go there" so as not to step on anyone's toes. Ah, well...
