Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic
No Longer In Active Development

Disney's Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic was initially
announced alongside a slate of several Mandalorian spin-offs
late last year. However, the show is reportedly now no longer
in active development.

According to a report from Variety regarding Dave Filoni's
promotion within the Star Wars universe, the site noted that
Rangers of the New Republic was no longer in active
development. The series was initially announced in December,
and while no information was revealed at the time, it was
long speculated that Gina Carano's Cara Dune would be the
lead role in the show.

However, after Carano was removed from all Star Wars projects
in February, it seems as if the show is currently in limbo.
No other information on the show has been confirmed, so it
seems as if Disney and Lucasfilms are keeping things close to
the chest when it comes to the future of Rangers of the New
Republic.

As for its other spin-offs, Lucasfilm President Kathleen
Kennedy announced that both Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are
executive producing several shows, including The Book of Boba
Fett (which is currently shooting and premiering in December),
Ahsoka (starring Rosario Dawson), and The Clone Wars.
