Although I am a regular reader I don`t contribute that much to this
newsgroup. I have however ran my own auction about a year ago and have dealt
with several people though this newsgroup. Never have I had a problem until
I replied to an advert from `Collector's World` in Nashville.
I live in England and am fortunate enough to be able to buy Yak Face`s a lot
easier than in the States. Collector`s World were advertising that they
needed
to buy these to sell at a toy fair. I contacted Rick Frogge via email and we
worked out a deal. He would pay $120 for each C-8 and over. I sent three
of
these without receiving the money first (I didn`t think a shop would rip me
off).
He acknowledged receipt of them and said he would wire the money to my
bank
account. This was in early June. I have seen no sign of the money.
I even recieved this email which shows how much this so-called shop
was
prepared to rip me off.

This is the last time I have had email contact with Rick Frogge. He
expected
me to send 15 Yak`s without receiving any payment. Is this any way to run
a business. If you are reading this Rick, DO YOU HAVE ANY MORALS ?
I telephoned `Collector's World` on a number of occasions never
actually
speaking to Rick Frogge. I left my number numerous times and was always
assured that he would get back to me.
I received a faint glimmer of hope when I spoke to a guy named Paul
Warwick who knew all about this transaction, explained that there had be
staff
problems and that Rick Frogge's father was ill. Fair enough I thought.
Still I waited. After nothing happening I rang again. I asked for Rick
Frogge. He was not in. I asked to speak to Paul Warwick. The woman laughed.
It turns out that Rick and Paul are the same person. So when I spoke to Paul
Warwick earlier and he gave me a long sob story about how sick Rick
Frogge`s
Dad was, he was actually talking about himself.
I emailed Rick Frogge two days ago :-

<You have 48 hours to reply or legal and other measures will be taken
48 hours has now expired so I am posting this on this newsgroup in the
hope
of a) getting a response out of Rick Frogge
b) Finding out about other people`s opinions and past dealings with this
shop and
c) to warn everybody of my bad experience. I have been very patient with
this man and now I feel I shoul do something about it... nearly 4 months have
past since I sent these figures.
By the way I am not a rich man, the $300 that I am owed is missed. I am a
student ( in debt) who is just a little to trustworthy.
Thanks for reading, you comments would be appreciated
Simon
I also had problems with Collectors World. I traded some figures for a box of
ANH CCG. I sent them the figures 2 months ago and finally got the box of
cards on Monday. They gave me the excuse that they fired a shipping manager
and he took some files with him. Maybey, maybey not. Just keep after them
with emails I have a feeling you will eventually get your money.
Also they sent a flyer along with the box. I turns out the have four stores
around Tennessee. Not a good way to run a buisness.
Good luck
Chris

First of all you are owed a serious apology for the time it took to
get you the money. On Friday Oct 4th I personally wired $425 to the account
you gave me with the addition being an apology for the delays.I'm sorry
that it took so long.
Second , My full name is Paul War(Rick) Frogge Jr and I have never
answered this store phone or any phone stating my name is or was simply
put Paul Warrick.
On july 16th my father was rushed to the hospital where he lingered on for
6 weeks then he passed away.During this time I entrusted certain employees
to take care of things while I was away. The only thing certain ones took
care of was their billfold and own well being.Unfortuanetly I did not know
how bad it had gotten until a mgr and I had an argument (Which I will
state was my fault) and he quit.During this time my father passed away and
we either had to let people go or they quit due to thier own selfishness
or well being.Only later did we find out materials had not been shipped ,
transfers not made , collections paid for that did not exist or imaginary
hours worked and paid for.
I would like to publicly state that a business should run whether or
not problems like this occur.Unfortunately I dropped the ball by taking
personal time in dealing with my loss and not staying on top of things in
the stores.I did e-mail you the request for more Yaks but as it stated I
would pay you first.I am terribly sorry for any problems this caused you
and anyone else out there. We are trying to satisfy everyone with something
to show that in the 15yrs we have been in Business this is not our typical
practice. Some of the files have conveintly disappeared and that has caused
more problems than you can imagine.I only hope the smiles on the face(s)
of those who caused this are as bright when their day in court comes
around.
Sincerely
Rick Frogge
