Can anyone tell me the proper organization in _LR_'s society with respect
to the age/color hierarchy? By "color," I of course mean the color of the
lifeclock crystal and the accompanying color of the clothes a character
wears.
Sprawled on the couch, late at night, I was lazily trying to figure it out
from the clues presented in the script, and couldn't quite do it. The
assignment of years to colors isn't always even or symmetrical, which is
kinda surprising given the otherwise very regimented nature of the
society.
A great source for this sort of logical explanation is usually the fan
community, because people often give those smaller details a lot of
thought. So if there's anyone out there who's a fan of _LR_, or knows how
to put me in touch with someone who is, or has an explanation to answer
the question, please email me.
Thanks!

In the novel (on which the movie is based), Lastday is at 21. The
color sequence there is YELLOW (1-8), BLUE (7-14), and RED (15-21).
It's been long enough since I've watched the movie that I can't
remember if they added an extra color to extend to 30, or if they just
used the same ones and shifted them to 10-year increments. It seems
like Jessica was a green or something, so I suspect that they
substituted GREEN for the 15-21 range and made RED 22-30. Yes, the
more I think about it, I'm pretty sure that's right or at least close.
I hope this helps.

You're right about the green addition, kind sir.
