Hey, I wasn't kidding. I do have a Delorean, it runs off household garbage,
and travels to the future...Well, that's not exactly true...I have a
Pontiac, it runs off highly over-priced gas, and takes me to the grocery
store...But, it has a sunroof, so HA. :-P

I was looking in the owner's manual, and there was some mumbo-jumbo about a
'temporal prime directive', so I mustn't divulge what I know, or the
universe itself shall explode. Either that, or Captain Picard will become
his own Grandfather, I didn't really pay that much attention.

I think an episode surrounding the dude who get's to clean the bridge's
window/viewscreen thingy would be interesting. In all seriousness though, I
don't know if I'm big on the idea of them remaking TOS episodes. They tried
that a couple times with TNG, and it didn't turn out all that well. I say,
it's a clean slate, use it as such. Hire the best Sci-Fi writers in
Hollywood, and give us awesome, fresh stories.

I actually submitted a script to Paramount once (back when DS9 and Voyager
were both on, and Paramount was "kind of" accepting scripts from fans).
Only problem was, I wasn't fully aware of exactly how they wanted the script
laid out, as in, where to put character names, when to use bold letters,
when to use italics, when to underline, etc., so I just did it the way I
felt was easiest to read. Paramount returned it marked as "unread", and
gave that as the reason. I still have the script (I have worked on a few
others as well, and 3 different novels), and Paramount's rejection letter.
Even though it was a rejection, at the time, I was still impressed that they
even let the fans *try* to contribute. I'm not saying my script would've
gone anywhere, or even made a good episode if it did, but with a franchise
like Trek, who better to write for it every now and then, then the fans
themselves? Then again, that "Orci hack" seemed to do a pretty good job <G>

I could definitely go for more "Mirror" universe episodes. And I'd like the
SFX envelope pushed, and I mean pushed big time. For starters, get rid of
the iBridge. I love the bright colors, (to me TNG had awesome interior
colors, while DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, and the Enterprise-E were all dungy
and dark), but I think it's too white. I mean, it's not a nut house, and it
just looks like my kid's iPod exploded everywhere. Also, show us how many
Vulcan's are left, and what they are doing with themselves. Where are they
going to call home now? Seeing how I wasn't fond of the 'destroy Vulcan'
plot of the movie either, perhaps (if it isn't done in the second movie),
find a way to bring it back. And, definitely throw in some time travel
stories. I don't care if they go back to 2009, or ahead to 3009, just throw
in some time travel stories. Most of my favorite episodes are time travel
ones, and yes I know many fans hate those. What about you? What would you
like to see?

It's a valid reason. A "script" is a very specific writing artifact with
strict standards of what goes where. If you don't do it the right way, you
didn't write a script as far as they're concerned - you wrote an
oddly-formatted story treatment.
If you're interested in writing scripts, there is specialized software and
document templates for doing it. But usually, you don't write unsolicited
scripts - you write a narrative treatment and a story outline, and then
scriptify it if the story is accepted (that is, if you are selected to
write the script - they might buy your idea, say thanks, and then have
someone else write the script). I doubt that anybody, anywhere,
would accept a script as an initial offer - it would take longer to
get the gist of the story than a showrunner would want to take. *

Somewhere in the third or fourth 'season' was 'Yesterday's Excelsior'
in which the timeline is changed to something resembling the original

I believe Sybok was older than Spock. He was definitely banished from
Vulcan by the time the movie was set.
I was watching an old Voyager episode a while back and heard Tuvok mention
he wasn't born on Vulcan so maybe he's safe too. Assuming one or both of
his parents/ancestors weren't on Vulcan.

Actually at the time, any submissions to Paramount had to be in script
format. They would not accept any story ideas, treatments, outlines, or
anything other then a fully written script. If they only wanted story
outlines, I would've sent in hundred's ;)
