A group of scientists, using some kind of permutation of logic,
creates a window into a parallel universe, one that apparently
resembling ours. They are very cautiously observing it, and using a
device that fires colored ice cubes through the window into it, to
mark their presence, but not permanently.
One of the observing scientists, watching the "people" in the other
universe, falls in love with it. He's particularly taken with a young
girl there, that he names Marthe. To the utter dismay of his
colleagues, he jumps through the window into the other universe. Well,
Marthe isn't quite what she seems. She suddenly bares large, sharp
fangs at him, grabs him, and proceeds to devour him. But, worse is to
come.
It seems that the inhabitants of the other universe can use a form of
magic. They use this magic to cancel our scientist's control of the
window into their universe. And now, they'll be coming ahunting into
our universe to eat us.
One other detail. As a gesture of contempt for us, the "werewolves"
toss the back the bloody, chewed bones of the unfortunate scientist
who had crossed over to visit "Marthe."
