Good. Hope it keeps going that direction.

I never thought I'd say this, but "Hurrah for shrinkage!"

Well geez, if this keeps up in a while you're not going to have
_anything_ to complain about.

He'll always have me to complain about.

Note that his obsession with me is not reciprocated. In fact, I've
decided not to reply to any of his messages until I'm caught up on
replies to everyone else here. At the moment I have 42 messages
marked as needing replies, of which 35 are from him.

May the trend continue.

Yet another amusing example of Keith's non-self awareness.
I post. Mainly, I post replies. Most new threads I post are either
about my medical status [1] or are posts that could have been followups
in previous threads - it is just that the thread I'd be responding to
would be very old or it would just be too hard to again find the proper
spot in a several hundred to thousand plus post thread to insert it
properly. I don't killfile anyone for content. If you post something I
have a comment on, I post a reply.
Keith likes to point out that he is the most prolific poster on this NG.
Moreover, he likes to point out how I am the second most prolific poster
on this NG. And Keith has more the double the number of posts of the
third place poster (Professor Friedman). Since I rarely post replies to
myself (although I have done so), it stands to reason that a lot of my
replies would be to the most prolific poster on the NG. Yet, this fact
seemingly doesn't occur to Keith.
The truth couldn't possibly be that he posts more than anyone else and
he posts more outrageous nonsense than anyone else.
[1] Keith likes to characterize fandom as a caring community. When his
mother was in the hospital, I was often the only poster in this NG who
inquired as to her health. Every other poster to the thread has managed
to be humorous or congratulatory in all their replies to my good news.
Only Keith has taken this opportunity to attack me.
How unfannish.

How come William is allowed to make a joke, and I'm not?
You are. Doug's also allowed to be a jerk. No moderation, though
concerned citizens could call him on it. And if enough people decided
they weren't going to take any more, he'd magically vanish, like
cigarette ads.
Kip W
Consider the differing nature of the "jokes" and Keith's recent history
with me. Like Keith's "joke" about Doug landing on his head - not
appropriate and likely to be taken badly.

"He'll always have me to complain about." is an attack? I'd consider
it humorous, myself.
BTW, congratulations on your good news.

Note that I did not comment until he had added "Note that his obsession
with me is not reciprocated." That, IMO, makes it clear that, however
joking his initial response was, what his true feelings are. When you
combine the two, I *do* consider it to be an attack.
>BTW, congratulations on your good news.
