Attention:

The Usenet Article Lookup site will be shutting down on August 31st,
2019

After 20 years, it comes with a heavy heart, but I will be shutting down
the Usenet Article Lookup page at the end of the month. You will still be
able {to} access archived articles, but the search feature will no longer
be supported. I am thankful to everyone for your support over the years.

I've always found this useful.

Thanks to Mr Knight for running it so long.

At the end of the month, I will be switching this site to another
server and the search feature will no longer be available. However,
you will still be able to view articles that have been saved (archived)
to this site. I do hope to have the search feature back up soon, so
keep checking back. I am thankful to everyone for your support over
the last 18 years. -- Howard

I used this to see if a certain sammer's message was logged.

[Guy purportedly posting from Turkey, selling rolling
papers, for "fine, Turkish tobacco," no doubt, but
with a Columbus, OH phone #.]

The message heading the age has changed to:
Attention: The Usenet Article Lookup site has been updated.
The code for this site has been ported from Perl to PHP, so
you could say, it is in beta mode. Please contact me if find
any problems, or have any suggestions. -- Howard
Recent discussions in the group [rec.arts.sf.written] regarding
the shortest of short-short stories makes me wonder: would this
fellow want to sponsor a contest for the best new story that can
fit on one rolling paper, legible to the naked eye, or one with
the normal range of corrective lenses? "Read `em if ya got `em?"

Note: I don't care if you use your rolling papers to smoke whatever,
as long as you are an otherwise competent adult and don't infringe
on anyone else's liberties. [Don't drive stoned, for example.]

I find it odd the spammer dropped his message mid-thread.

You are posting through Google Groups and they
have an archive.

Check the Terms of Service you agreed to. This issue
goes back to before Google Gtoups, in the days of deja.com.

You are replying to a well-known Usenet kook with a long history. Some
information about the whole confusing mess can be found at:

Reading this won't actually explain anything much, I am sorry to say.

Look
Guy made several responses to me when I was using the website IP address lookup V4 to trace and to provide data about the anonymous harassing emails and phone calls I was receiving.

The general population would not donate any money to Ed Falk for David Ritz defencefund..
No one cares about an archive site..made by anons: you have no credibility…not as a anon
