The homepage doesn't work, unless you're using the artist's own machine,
since it refers to files on his own hard disk.

When you read the source, work out what the links should say, and follow
them, the artwork is less than phenomenal, and the site design is about
the worst I've ever seen.

Personally, I'm amazed you took the time. The posting didn't inspire me
to see what else this young(?) man could come up with. Was it the
request for "opinionated people" that lured you? :)

Well, I had to go on-line anyway to look at some stuff in the Nicholas
Roerich Museum (www.roerich.org), and I thought I'd see how bad this was.
Then the blatantly broken links, and the extremely basic fishing for
compliments intrigued me. I was wondering if I should send off a spam
complaint, but the posting doesn't *quite* justify it.

Well, in my case, I looked at the headers and discovered that the
Subject: line was almost a line and a half long, and thought "Clueless
newbie, it's cruel to mock". I didn't have the patience to try and
follow the links though.

You'd lose that bet. I looked through his entire gallery. This

Oh, I believe you, but if I had ten thumbs I'd probably do better with
things involving manual dexterity. There's a reason why I type phone
messages I take for people at work :-(

I bet I could get you producing something worth keeping, given a
couple of hours. Some of my students have very little talent or
dexterity but given the right medium and lots of encouragement, I can
have them taking something home that's worth having by the end of the
lesson.

Thanks for the offer. I'm sure you are right, but just bear in mind we
are talking the level of dexterity that involves having to stop and
work out how to hold a fork, sometimes.

It's at times like that that chopsticks are a wonderful invention.

Look on the bright side, the only things I do worse than art are
singing and dancing. Somewhere, I've even got a certificate to prove I
can't dance, and a demo tape that proves I can't sing.

I hope I make a good audience, though :-)

Yours appreciatively,

A wild thought; has anyone thought of asking Sue to run an art workshop
for non-artists at a con? (I'd go to it).

So would I, assuming one of two things of varying liklihood: (1) she was
in the States; or (2) I was in England.

Put me down for it! Broomcon this year should be even better than last
at this rate.

(Note to the puzzled; you won't find Broomcon on Chris O'Shea's website
or your favourite con list cos it's a pagan con that's borrowed SF cons'
nomenclature style.).

That's something I'd like to watch. Question is how much liquid
encouragement would be needed?
