Be good while I'm gone.

BTW, National Portrait Gallery launch for Self Portrait UK was fun (UK fans can see some of the
portraits after the 7pm news on Channel 4 every evening this week).

It got more and more fun as the evening progressed and more wine was consumed and the artists and
creators started talking to each other and comparing notes.

A lot of the choices seemed very PC and media savvy, I like the fun ones best.
There was a very fannish one from a young man who had drawn a very smooth cartoon of himself and
labeled it with places and people who were important to him - his left knee was Paris, for example.
It worked better than I am describing here!

Alison and I agree that my picture is just a Sue fillo, as seen in countless fanzines for decades,
it looks strange to see it hanging in a formal gallery.

We floated home to Walthamstow, it was a cool evening.

Look forward to seeing those of you who are going to Minicon at the weekend.

Sue.

Ah, wish we could be there. One of these years, damnit.

I'm bringing the laptop, and Erols now has a number in the Twin
Cities, so you can post if you really want to!

I wish you could be there as well. I would love to meet you sometime
Kip. But I'm looking forward to Sue's reaction to my new hairstyle.

Now that's a dangerous offer. You'll have rasseffarians lining up
outside your door <grin>.

See you Thurs! I'll be arriving in the late afternoon/early evening.
And bringing your roommate a day earlier than had been arranged, if I
understand correctly; I hope she's gotten in touch with you and that
this isn't a problem.

And of course I've seen you several times by now! Sue and I are
managing with the room -- the maids don't follow notes well, but my
handwriting is notoriously bad, anyway.
