Thanks for replying.
"Salome" is the only show at the festival for adults only. The show is
described as follows:
Press Release > The legenday biblical tale of Salome is a
Press Release > point of departure for this outrageous and
Press Release > sometimes offensive piece by one of Europe's
Press Release > foremost puppet artists. Neville Tranter

I have never seen him before and I am intrigued, but I am not sure I
want to see "offensive" puppetry. (Two years ago, I saw Teatro
Tinglado's "The Disgusting Story of Clotario Demoniax" and it was only
slightly disgusting. ;->)

Really? Perhaps I should consider him too, but this is getting
expensive! (Tickets are $15-$25 each.) So far I believe that I am
interested in the four shows initially, as well as in the Late Night
Showcase at P.S. 122, which specializes in several adult, cutting-edge
puppet artists.
Yes, Paska will perform with Massimo Schuster at New York's French
Institute. They will perform "Dieu!: God Mother Radio," which is
described as a production "Bringing Elizabethan drama into the 0th
century [through] an adaptation of Marlowe's 'Massacre at Paris' ...
staged as both a puppet show and a radio play.... socially and
politically provocative."
This seems a little heavy to me -- offensive is one thing, didactic is
another.

I've seen Green Ginger and Stuffed Puppet, they are both very good.
IMHO, Stuffed Puppet's production "Manipulator/Underdog" is the best
piece of theatre I have ever seen, puppets or humans or whatever. I have
not seen "Salome", though, but Neville Tranter is a brilliant puppeteer
worth seing anyway.
Isn't Roman Paska performing in this festival in his home town? He'd
definitely be worth seeing.

Paska AND Schuster together? I really wish I could afford a trip to NYC!
I once saw Schuster play a hilarious versin of King Ubu, with puppets
made from Meccano parts. He's great!
