Monet's "Water Lily Pond"
------------------------

A chaotic whirlwind of colours hits
And bruises my senses, leaving me numb.
The paints strike my retina like a drum
And, sparking a fire that crackles and spits,
Go challenging the dullness of my wits.
They charge, carnival streamers through a slum,
My nerves set on edge with electric hum
As through my used mind a fresh image flits.

Then standing back, the colours shift and merge.
The mad green strokes, their hidden texture show,
The leaves begin to dance and waters flow,
The wise old bridge bids me welcome, smiling.
Though milling, whispering tourists round me surge,
In Monet's garden, birds begin to sing.

What can I say but incredible.

ps. or ditch the rhyme scheme, but it wasn't too detrimental
