Flat earths surround us,
the traps that hide
the roads to our dreams.
"Here be Tygers"
and we pause,
afraid.
But the Tyger is burning
and by its bright
we see the paths
and walk.
"Terra Incognito"
the blank on the map,
but -
if no one's drawn here
we are free to make
our mark.
So explore the flat earth
by Tyger light
and draw me new maps
of heavens.
Simon Bisson (c)1990
This is a really nice poem. Lines like
> Flat earths surround us,
> the traps that hide
> the roads to our dreams.
and
> "Here be Tygers"
> and we pause,
> afraid.
are just great. this is a wonderful piece.
peace
