This all arises because Facebook participants give Facebook title to
everything that they, the customers, post - pictures, stories, etc.

Well, not title (in a any sense) - but a free licence, certainly.

It is important to note that the current situation for Facebook users, like
myself, is that you do have the ability to "opt out" in the use of your
photo. That is, if you can figure out how to accomplish that. It's not all
that obvious, and you have to look for that preference choice in your
privacy settings. I've opted out, but this was only after FB used many of
our personal pics in their ads.

I think it's outrageous they would knowingly use children's photos.

The default position really should be that no FB user is '"IN" -- unless
they choose to be and communicate that preference to FB.

Cheers,

Annie

My husband Cur has MORPHED a laughing and smiling photo of Annette Fun with
a laughing and smiling Deanna Durbin photo, for my Facebook profile photo!

One way to mess with the corporate mind of facebook is to use MORPHED photos
as your profile photo.
I am thinking of using three possible candidates;for my own profile photo.
If only because I have photo's of them all laughing and smiling at the same
time.

1. Bela Lugosi and Peter Lorre.
2. Charles Laughton and Lon Chaney JR.
3. Vincent Price and Boris Karloff.

For Francis, I thought Perry Mason and Ben Matlock.
For Howard, I thought Michael Moriarty and Mandy Patinkin.

Heck, I can use all the publicity I can get! So onward,
and forward, Facebook - make me famous!

Probably, though, they will only use my profile picture
as the "before" photo in a Weight Watcher's ad, and
as for my cat photos - come on Facebook, make my cats
famous! The cats don't mind!

I don't have a Facebook page, but my dog does. The profile is Jasper's,
not mine. I had to convert his age to human years to make him old
enough to have a page. The school is the one he actually goes to(for
agility class, mostly). Sometimes the comments are his, sometimes mine,
and most of the friends know both of us. One is just his friend, but
she's a stuffed duck.
