Catherine Aird is one of my favorite authors, but I haven't seen anything
new from her in quite some time. Her last book was "Losing Ground", with
a 2008 copyright. I checked her web site and don't find anything new
or any announcements of anything new. Does anybody know what she is doing
now? I could sure use another of her Chief Inspector Sloan books.

Thanks,
Bill

I only know her name from the quote I have on my desk tack surface -
"If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a
horrible warning."

That is next to, "To be loved is fortunate, but to be hated is to
achieve distinction." That's from Minna Antrim, whoever she is. And,
also, "If chaos doesn't reign, it certainly has a working
majority." (unknown)

According to her publisher's website, there is a new Sloan book ("Past
Tense") set to be released in the UK and Canada on March 15, 2010.

Guess the US edition will follow at a later date.

Thanks, that's the information I was looking for. It just means that
I will still have a pretty long wait for my next one to show up here.

I was worried that something might have happened so she had quit writing.

Well, I like her books. I have about the first dozen; intend to
buy the later ones when I have some money to spare.

Me too. I used to read every book by Aird back in the day. I also have
about a dozen PBs, although I've not read any recently. Aird was one of the
authors who hooked me on mystery back in the 60s. Hope to catch up with the
series.
