I'm not including the Edgar Week (TM) stuff, but basically lots and
lots and lots of authors will be around the last week in April/First
week in May. Expect a bonanza of signed copies and a whole lotta booze
and food around at Black Orchid and Partners and Crime, never mind the
actual ceremony itself (well, food may be reaching. I'm hoping I can
try to get the fish again, which was only mediocre compared to the
chicken.)

BTW, yes there are a zillion signings in Manhattan, but places like
Poisoned Pen, Murder by the Book (Houston) Mystery One and the
California store get tons of people, sometimes better quality overall
than the NYC mystery stores do. Just goes to show....anyway here we

You know, after looking at this list, the forthcoming
author appearance in my own area suck mightily.
Jeremy,thinking
autographs are way overrated, and that those authors aren't nearly as
interesting as one might think.

See my statement after my name. Keep repeating it and
it works, kind of.

And we're all really impressed!

Well, of course. One wouldn't assume that one would go to a Bouchercon
convention-y thingy to....sing or dance or proposition or take five
plates from the buffet (Jon, I hear Vegas is THE Place for the Endless
Buffet - or Booffet as they said in Austin) or drink or fall asleep
during panels or listen to bad pick up lines or buy huge stacks of
books or make a complete ass of oneself. Conventions are serious
business for the serious minded. All others need not apply.
